CoLLab - Trip to the Cityby `tigaer

no big words for this one. i rarely do quickie projects but here we have one. atm i'm learning the handling of my tablet in digital paintings. i used a little collab between =Bennybeee and me to train my painting skills a bit. don't expect too much since i'm sort of a beginner. though i must say i did better than i thought here.

alright... who did what here:

=Bennybeee created the terragen backround sourcefiles and prepared them for rendering. when i saw what he created i thought i could try something with it and... i did.

`tigaer created the whole manipulation work. that includes the planets, additional cloud layers, reflections and paintings.

we were definitely not going for realism here. it's a fantasy sci-fi pic and the unique look is intended. just to clear that up.

Ich muss ehrlich gestehen, das mir das Bild auf den ersten Blick nicht sonderlich gefallen hat, doch nachdem ich es mir jetzt angeguckt habe um meinen Kommentar abzulassen gefällt es mir immer besser.

Denn irgendwie hat es was und zwar ganz gewaltig. Diese unglaublichen farblichen Einflüsse die auf einen einwirken, also diese Farben, die Wolken, die Spiegelung im Wasser, ach irgendwie einfach alles... es passt wunderschön zusammen und hat etwas ganz besonderes.
Mich freut es, das ihr bei diesem Bild nicht versucht habt auf Realismus zu gehen, denn ich glaube genau dieser Schritt un die damit verbundenen Effekte sind es was dieses ild ausmachen und mir so gefallen.
Die Wolken und Wasserreflektionen sind übrigens umwerfend geworden. Ich wollte es einfach nur nochmal erwähnen, denn das haben sie verdient.

Einzig was ich etwas misslungen finde und was wohl auch der Grund für meine erste Skepsis war ist die Umrandung... ich finde sie etwas eigenartig und nicht wirklich schön, aber da gibt es ja verschiedene Geschmäcker. Meiner ist es leider nicht. Eine komplett schwarze hätte mir besser gefallen.
