This piece was done by me using a very different technique than usual. Normally i use helpers, lik 3d stuff, to help me orientate myself. This painting started as a just for fun design, with help of custom brushes, like the ones you can find in my concept art gallery on tigaer-design.com. I created a nice flyer and wanted to have a cool background for it. I started and got into a flow.
I really liked what was happening on my screen. The rough shapes becoming more and more detailed, ending up in being a painting that shows a truly amazing environment. Sometimes you are surprised by yourself when you see the end product of a project. Thats the case here. Really like the result of this project. The rough look really adds to it as well. Working with custom brushes can really boost imagination. This painting was also done in a very good time. I needed a good week to get it done. Thats pretty fast for me.
Normally I'd try to critique this concerning mood, lighting and color but all I can think about is that it looks like an environment I was working on in an RPG project.
I think you should stick with the new technique here tigaer. Maybe it's the lack of helpers on this one, but I feel it's much more creative than your other work, definitely my fav you've put out. Excellent work.
The title really seems to fit, like one of the previous posters said. It looks almost as though a one-man aircraft is exploring the chambers and ventricles of some planet-sized beast's heart.
