This one originally was a concept art commission that didn’t exactly hit the taste of the client. I maintained the rougher look but still tried to polish it up a little for my own gallery. A typical ‘learning’ project. Target was it to create a place where some sort of sea nomads find a haven. The city itself is kinda modular and able to split up to move elsewhere. Hope you guys like it!

Great idea - I like the story behind it. Really well executed as well, and the angle gives an impression of a bird's eye view of the scene. :)

hmmm nice except the texture on the nearest rock surface(light green) at the top of the painting looks a little odd and the fog/smog/mist doesn't seem to sit right to my eye, also i think this close in to a rock formation water opacity is more transparent

But the detailing of the boats and the sense of being there is still in the picture :)
