Another part from my captured beauty series. Since i won't submit the whole series and pick out the best shots don't wonder about the numbers that are added to the title. ;p

Shots taken with:
Canon 20d & Sigma EX DG AF 105 /f 2.8 Macro Lens.

Other parts:
captured beauty I :: [link]
captured beauty II :: [link]

happy viewing :)

ps: originally b&w, i changed colors via photoshop here.

Wow, I think this is your best macro yet. The contrast between the soft leaf and the crystal clarity of the water droplet is incredible.

sorry forgot to mention, one other feature that makes this stand out so nicely is the shades being shown through the photo being black and white and the contrasts, but on that note, the first one you did which is color, is truly magnificient... great job m8

being a fan of rain and such, either way tried not to look at this without the bias of love for rain and rain drops, I must say this is quite an amazingly beautiful capture as it's quite secluded which in my opinion makes it stand out of the 5 shots (although the other 4 are very nice on their own as well)

Wie eine Muschel die geöffnet ist und ihre wunderschöne Perle zeigt. Auch wenn es diesmal nicht so farbenprächtig ist finde ich es doch sehr schön. Du weißt wie du die Dinge in Szene setzen musst. :)

Really awesome idea for your series Tigaer, but it seems that in this piece that too little is going on, a bit to simplistic and the capture of the eye is turned toward such a small space. It kinda just looks like not enough is going on. Its good not too see many things fighting for the foreground. Which I see you've done awesome in your other work. It's just this piece; the leaves and such are just not right for the droplet. Too much empty space.

I hope I wasn't rude in that comment, just trying my best to critique. :D If I was rude i really didnt mean to offend you. ^^;

Awesome job though. ^_^ I really like your series a lot. I always look foward to seeing your next pieces.

that was not rude, dont worry. i'm someone who can stand critique - constructive even more. i totally understand what you mean... and i must agree... something in the pic... well, is missing. :shrug: on the other side the free space adds a unique kind of look... and the eye is forced to look at the droplet somehow. :) - thx for your comment - very welcome.

Whoa, that's beautiful. The water drop stands out nicely! Though, maybe it's 'cause I don't have me glasses on, but I think it would be spiffy if you could make the droplet faintly coloured for an added effect. I dunno, it looks awesome the way it is. =)

i'm experimenting a lot ;) - i actually like the VI more than the first one. though the setup in the first one was just perfect. plus... i had a lot of luck to hit the frontpage with the first one. doesnt happen too often with my photowork.

What I like the most in the first one is that the droplet REALLY captured the beauty around it and you can SEE it perfectly inside the droplet, the depth of field, the focal point, everything is perfect... I guess this is the kind of photo that involves a bit of skills, another bit of equipament and A LOT of luck... and thats the recepy for a great shot.

I may be wrong but its just the feeling I have when I look at it ;)

i made probably 10 shots of that scene... problem was the right focus and to bring the droplet more into the middle of the pic. a tripod would have helped a lot... but was not at hand. :) - glad you like it!
