Imagine to stand on top of that mountain in the lower right and you look at this gorgeous sunrise. Wouldn't that be ASTOUNDING?

Terragen - Astounding by `tigaer provides us an astonnishing view on a golden sand scape, flown around by an emerald river fed by a stream of hot lava. You stand there enjoying the warm breeze as your mind slips away with the fractal jet streams into the sun. This is a place where I want to be, this is a place where I'd feel well.

Tools used: Imagination. Terragen. Apophysis.

Also viewable as our Print of the Day, available at sizes up to 24x36".

this one actually has no big story. it was created... just 'because'. if you know what i mean. pulsar dawn: [link] brought up a thought in me that told me to try a combination of apophysis and terragen. i tried it in pulsar dawn but there the apo stuff destroyed the lines and flow of the pic. here in astounding it works great. imagine to stand on top of that mountain in the lower right and you look at this gorgeous sunrise. wouldn't that be ASTOUNDING?

well, business as usual. terragen for the basic render finished up in photoshop. for this project i introduce apophysis to my manip technique. it worked out pretty sexy and i think you people will like it. :) this pic required not as much manip work as the usual tg stuff i create. most of the things you see here is pure terragen... different renders merged in photoshop. a lot of detail work went into the water... the waves. i love the waves in this pic.

FULLVIEW ESSENTIAL

update - 15th aug. 2005 - i made a little print update and cleared the file from minor visual faults. everyone who bought a print of this before the update would actually not see a difference. i'm just a bit too much ';perfectionist'.

Some incredible stuff... I like the looping particularly. I also use terragen as one of my main rendering platforms, and will have to look into this apophysis thing. :D
